Pixel 11 goes on open sale August 20, starting at $899

If you have been holding off on a new Pixel, the wait is now measured in days. Pre-orders for the Pixel 11 line are open, and open sale begins on August 20, with the Pixel 11 at $899, the Pixel 11 Pro at $1,099 and the Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1,299.

Both Pro models start with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, so the $200 gap between them buys size rather than capacity.

The chip is where Google puts most of its argument. Tensor G6 has an upgraded CPU that Google says makes web browsing 25% faster and app launches 15% quicker, and it carries 50% more TPU compute, which, paired with the latest Gemini Nano model, is claimed to process on-device AI tasks up to 3.5 times faster while drawing up to 3.5 times less energy. Those numbers are Google's.

Security gets a hardware change too. The new Titan M3 chip works with Tensor G6 to bring post-quantum cryptography to secure boot on the device, and every one of the new phones ships with seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates.

Charging is the practical upgrade on the largest model: Google says the Pixel 11 Pro XL can pull 15 hours of battery life from 15 minutes on a wire.

Two of the new features are visible from across a room. HiLight uses colored LED lights built around the camera flash, glowing softly to flag timely information you can read at a glance. Magic Capture works the other way, quietly: it runs on-device intelligence alongside Gemini models to analyze roughly 400 frames and pick the moment, producing a 12-megapixel photo.

Gemini itself now handles multistep tasks across more than 40 apps.

Google is also launching Pixel Tag on November 11, at $29 for one or $99 for a pack of four. It is built from stainless steel, has a battery Google describes as long-lasting, and a built-in speaker that plays a sound when prompted.
