Galaxy S26 FE goes on sale September 4 from €700, with no pre-order page in sight
Samsung has set a date and a price for its cheaper flagship, but the buying options right now are thin.
If you have been waiting for the cheaper Galaxy, the date is September 4. That is when the Galaxy S26 FE goes on sale in Blueberry, Pistachio, Graphite and White, with prices starting from €700.
Getting an order in early is not on the table yet. GSMArena reports that Samsung.com has no pre-order page for the S26 FE at all, only a signup to be notified once the phone becomes available. The obvious stopgap has its own problem: the Galaxy S25 FE is out of stock right now, which GSMArena calls a shame, since it would have made a solid alternative to the new model.
Samsung's next big battery, meanwhile, is not coming. According to GSMArena, the company reportedly weighed a 7,000mAh cell for the Galaxy S27 Ultra and decided against it, with weight and charging time given as the reasons.
Sony's contribution to the week is the Xperia 10 VIII. It pairs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 with a 6.1-inch OLED, a 5,000mAh battery and a 50MP main camera, and it starts at $600, a price GSMArena describes as rather steep.
Poco has confirmed the silicon in its next flagships. The F9 Pro gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the F9 Ultra moves up to the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The most useful phone of the week might be the cheapest one. HMD unveiled the Nokia 300 Charge, a feature phone with a 3,700mAh battery that doubles as a 10W power bank when you press a dedicated "Out" button. It is already selling in select markets for around $35, with no word yet on a wider global release.
Motorola, for its part, confirmed that its 2027 flagship phones will officially support GrapheneOS.
