Round-up

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE lands in three markets, and its value case rests on what's bundled with it

GSMArena's deals roundups put the new FE next to a $200 Amazon gift card in the US, a £50 checkout cut in the UK and a €100 Prime discount in Germany.

If you are looking at the Galaxy S26 FE this week, the price on the product page is not the number that decides it. According to GSMArena, the phone went on sale in the US without a discount, but Amazon adds a $200 gift card to the purchase, and that single sweetener changes the verdict entirely: GSMArena says that without it they would tell you not to even consider the S26 FE, while with it both the FE and the Galaxy S26+ are worth thinking about.

The S26+ matters here because it is close. In the US, comparing 256GB versions, the S26+ costs $100 more.

Germany is where the FE looks weakest. GSMArena reports the phone went on sale there this week with the only discount being €100 for Amazon Prime subscribers, and calls it a tough sell even at that price. The UK sits in between, with a £50 discount that activates during checkout.

GSMArena also notes the Galaxy A57 shares a lot with the S26 FE, which is the uncomfortable part of the FE pitch: it is sold as a near-flagship S-series device while a mid-range A-series phone covers much of the same ground.

Samsung's foldables are the more interesting buy right now. The Galaxy Z8 series launched about a month ago and the first big cuts are already here, with the Z Fold8 Ultra $300 off in the US and the Z Flip8 down $150, a smaller cut on a phone that starts cheaper anyway. Germany gets the sharper deal, GSMArena listing the Z Fold8 Ultra at €556 off. In the UK, the Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 are available with up to £200 off, all three running the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy.

A month-old foldable losing several hundred is the sort of thing worth waiting a week to see repeated.
